Founder of the Program for Women-Headed Households, Nani Zulminarni is a leader in grass-roots activism promoting the empowerment of women in the home. In this interview, she discusses the cultural and religious challenges Indonesian activists face in the struggle to advocate for women’s leadership. She also shares her experience of lobbying government to improve the legal protection of women in the local community.
